The city government here is set to give additional P10,000 to P15,000 Christmas bonus to 12,000 regular and contractual employees assigned in 19 departments of the Davao City Hall.
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said once the city’s legislative department approves the Supplemental Budget 2 SB2 for 2011, regular employees and job order/consultants will receive P10,000 and P15,000, respectively, as Christmas bonus aside from the mid-year and Christmas cash gift that is required by law.
However, Duterte said she has yet to meet with the Local Finance Committee LFC to discuss SB 2, which they will submit to the City Council for approval.”Maybe by December, the SB 2 will be approved and they can get their respective bonus from the City Treasurer’s Office,” the mayor said.Last year, P86 million of the P252-million SB 2 passed in November was allocated for the Pasko Fiesta celebration and Christmas bonuses of the city’s employees.

Alam ko meron b’coz it is mandated under Administrative Order No. 2, “Profesional Enhancement Benefits” for government workers. But the question is “MAGKANO” ngaung 2011. Sana dagdagan naman ni President Ninoy.
