The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday released the year-end bonus of its 148,000 active duty PNP personnel.
PNP Chief Director General Nicanor A Bartolome said the 2012 yearend bonus consists of the remaining half of the policemen’s 13th month pay and other cash benefits mandated by law.
The first tranche of this year’s 13th month pay was released by the PNP last May.
Police Director Roque Ramirez, PNP Director for Comptrollership (TDC) said continuous form checks drawn from the PNP account with the Land Bank of the Philippines have been released by the PNP Finance Service to the different Police Regional Offices and National Support Units thru the Regional Finance Service Offices (RFSO) nationwide for subsequent issuance and distribution to individual personnel in lower units and offices.
The Department of Budget and Management earlier approved a P1.932-billion allotment to pay for the year-end bonus of PNP personnel.
