As a formal rite of initiation and orientation to the University, all newly hired faculty and staff attended the Faculty and Staff Orientation organized by the Office of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs in cooperation with the Center for Research and Local Governance. This was held on June 22-23, 2007 at the Academic Conference Room. Thirty three (33) faculty members and three (3) non-academic support staff attended the two day activity. The sessions include an orientation on the University’s History, Vision-Mission Goals, University Policies, Salary Computation and Benefits and Human Resource and Development Program. The Heads of their respective departments gave an orientation on Research, Community Service, Campus Ministry and Library system. A talk on Professional Ethics was also given. The sessions ended with a “Commitment” activity where the participants expressed their individual contribution towards the realization of HNU’s Vision-Mission and Goals.
