Victims of the typhoons that devastated Nueva Vizcaya province will soon get new housing units courtesy of the local government here.
Nereo Agaloos, acting Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) officer, announced on Friday that 40 housing units will be constructed this year at Brgys. Mabasa and Lamo in this town.
Dupax Del Norte was one of the most damaged areas by flashfloods brought by typhoons Onyok, Pedring and Quiel.
Agaloos said the housing units will be constructed under the government Core Shelter Program through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
“The typhoon victims will be relocated once the new housing units will be completed to ensure their security during a repeat of similar typhoons,” Agaloos said.
