Organic products in the province will be promoted with the conduct of a farmers’ market day at the end of this month at the provincial capitol here.
Osias Dacquel, manager of the Novo Vizcayanos for Local Economy Development, Inc.(NOVOLED), said the Farmers’ Market Day will feature organic vegetables, fruits, native pork and chicken, processed foods, handicrafts, organic fertilizers and other healthy food and drinks.
“This is one of the opportunities in order to market products which are not harmful to our health and the environment,” Dacquel said.
The Farmers’ Market Day is also organized by the GLM Institute of Japan, Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement (PRRM), provincial government and the Rotary Club of Vizcaya.
NOVOLED, a non-government organization providing local economy development solutions through its microfinance and training program on enterprises administration and management, has committed to extend its social responsibilities to Novo Vizcayanos and nearby provinces.
