In order to get firsthand information on the needs of the people of the country’s poorest town, the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Development Council (RDC) presently chaired by Dipolog Mayor Evelyn T. Uy held its 137th meeting in Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte recently.
Twenty eight regular members coming from the national government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs) and the private sectors came and participated in the meeting which tackled the different issues and concerns involving infrastructure project implementation, agriculture and fisheries, social services, peace and order, mining and many others.
Siayan Mayor Flora Villarosa presented the efforts initiated by the municipal government in addressing the plight of the people in the area in partnership with the NGAs and non-government organizations (NGOs).
