More private individuals are throwing in their support to the Philippine National Red Cross’ (PNRC) bloodletting program due to the rapid thinning out of blood supply for dengue victims.

Members of the Bantay Bayan group, a civic organization, went to the PNRC office here on Wednesday to voluntarily donate their blood after learning of the supply shortage from government and private media entities.

The Bantay Bayan also solicited the support of the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) to pool their efforts with the organization in donating blood.
