Kagawads Ian Mark Nacaya and Juan Sia of the Sangguniang Panglungsod (SP) are now drafting a proposed ordinance that will mandate establishments selling guns and ammunitions to register all purchases made from them.
This, after the authors of the ordinance noted reports indicating that most crimes have been committed using unlicensed firearms.
Kagawad Nacaya, who is the Chairperson of the Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety, said the name, address, age, goods bought and other information should be recorded by the company selling these firearms.
