President Benigno S. Aquino III appointed new officials for various posts in the Department of Education (DepED), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Finance (DOF), Commission on the Filipino Language, National Anti-Poverty Commission and the judiciary.
During the regular press briefing in Malacanang on Friday, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte announced the appointment of Ellen B. Donato and Orfelina O. Tuy, both as Director IV of the DepEd.
Also appointed were Isagani S. Dela Cruz as Schools Division Superintendent and Teresita S. Bacudo as Acting Schools Division Superintendent.
Appointed as Acting Assistant Schools Division Superintendents were Elena M. Acasio, Edna F. Agustin, Felipe L. Ballitoc, Rommel C. Bautista, Francis Cesar B. Bringas, Jenilyn Rose B. Corpus, Jose L. Doncillo, Vilma D. Eda, Nimpha D. Guemo, Dolores Q. Mapusao, Osias S. Monforte, Loida N. Nidea, Susan DL. Oribiana, Pedro O. Rapanut, and Sally B. Ullalim.
Jaime S. Bernadas was appointed as DOH Director IV, Blesilda A. Gutierrez as DOH Acting Director IV, and Valeriano V. Lopez Jr. as DOH Director III.
Jose Arnold M. Tan was appointed as Director II of the Bureau of Local Government Finance which is under the Department of Finance.
Rosalinda A. Manabat was named as member representing workers in the formal sector and migrant workers of the National Anti-Poverty Commission. Her term will end on January 9, 2015.
Avelina J. Villegas-Rosario was appointed as judge of the municipal trial court in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
Justina F. Callangan was appointed as Acting Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission which is under the DOF.
Appointed as part-time commissioners of the Komisyon Para sa Wikang Filipino were Lucena P. Samson, representing the Pampango Language; Maria Crisanta N. Flores, representing the Pangasinan Language; and Lorna E. Flores, representing the Languages of Southern Cultural Communities.
