Law enforcement authorities swooped down on three suspected drug pushers at a hotel in Dumaguete City on Monday afternoon following a tip from an informant of their presence in a room where they were allegedly repacking shabu.
An initial police report identified the suspects as Henry Casipong, JP Ordona, and Julie Ann Tropa, residents of Barangay Looc in Dumaguete and Mabinay, Negros Oriental, respectively.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), headed by its provincial director Rayford Yap, and intelligence personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Dumaguete arrested the three suspects at a hotel along Flores Avenue in Barangay Looc.
Acting on the tip that the three were in the hotel, the law enforcers moved in and reportedly caught in the act the three suspects allegedly repacking shabu in plastic sachets and tin foil, the police report said.
Seized from the suspects were one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, five strips of tin foil also containing shabu, three medium-sized plastic sachet with suspected shabu, lighters, razor blade, and other paraphernalia believed used in repacking the illegal drug.
