Visitors and residents during the Christmas holidays

The chief of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) has alerted all policemen in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to protect the welfare of all visitors and residents during the Christmas holidays.

Police Chief Superintendent Benjamin Magalong, who served in the area for years, made the move with the usual rise of crimes against property during the holiday period.

This could be pictured in the recent robbery in a convenient store in Baguio City where still unidentified robbers carted away P1.5 million worth of merchandise and other valuables.

During the holidays, tourism oriented policemen (TOP COPS) are most visible in big department stores and other places where people converge to deter the commission of crimes.

Also, civic and communication groups usually augment the regular police forces in various areas in order to assure that criminals will not be able to prey on their intended victims.
